I started Key Counselling in 1998 as a service to help people address and cope with problems in their lives. Finding the right Key can help you open doors that are blocking your path forward in life.

My Master's Degree in 'Integrative Counselling Practice' is helpful in selecting modalities of counselling that suit my clients' needs. I work with individuals and couples in the following areas:
-
Relationship Counselling
-
Anxiety and stress
-
Depression
-
Suicidal ideation
-
Grief and loss
-
Life change challenges
-
Assertiveness/self esteem
-
Addiction
-
Emigration and acculturation issues
-
Mental health challenges

Prior to becoming a certified clinical counsellor, I worked as a seaman on deep sea freighters. After emigrating to Canada, I became a tradesman, ran my own marine repair business, was the Executive Director of two mental health non-profits, and parented three children.

Learning from life experience, combined with a knowledge of psychotherapy, helps me identify with clients and assist them in finding solutions to their challenges.
